I-229 Exit 5 (26th Street) Crossroad Corridor Study

Have you ever been stopped in traffic on 26th Street? Maybe you were waiting for the train to cross 26th Street. This corridor study will look at ways to reduce the traffic congestion on 26th Street and improve the interchange at I-229. Join us as we tackle this challenging and important task.

The 26th Street Corridor Study is progressing. The study team is currently working with the City Parks Department on access options for Rotary Park, and the Draft Environmental Assessment is being reviewed by the SDDOT and FHWA.

Once the next public meeting is scheduled, the study team will send out postcards and update the website to notify the public and stakeholders. Thank you for your continued support!
